is it safe to go to a gig alone?

well ive been to plenty of gigs but with a friend. and a machine head
gig is coming up later this year. and i have no one to go with this
time. so may mums adamant that i cant go because she thinks its not
safe. so i just need some proof that it is perfectly safe. so personal
experiences would be good and any other methods to convince her.
im 15 by the way.
